Muslim World

I reckon that the government should BAN clubs and bars.Technically,Malaysia's prime religion is Islam and that we are also living in a muslim country. So how can the government still allow these sort of entertainment?I am aware that we live in a multi racial country made up of malays, chinese and indians. But by right, the malays are the bumiputras of this country.Hence, the chinese and indians are conjectured to live under our rules and if they dislike the "calm" lifestyle of the muslims, then i suggest they shift to Singapore or somewhere else.I dont mean to be harsh or anything, but seriously, the amount of illegal act is increasing dramatically in this country. There isnt anymore dignity or moral values within the youths.Rape cases and so forth.I'm not saying that I am such an angel but I'm just trying to fix things right now.I mean, without a doubt, there still is some other form of entertainment that we can carry out right?Instead of clubbing (or other illigitimate diversion) as our main source of entertainment, there are still some other "healthy" and fun activities that we can execute right?

So yea, basically i did not come up with this whole idea all of a sudden.I attended this one conference recently and what sheikh yusoff estez said was quite true. That the young muslim minds are starting to pollute. If you were to ask a malay-muslim teenage boy/girl/or wtv to recite at least 3 lines from the quran or name all of God's name,I doubt he'd be able to.BUT if you were to ask him to sing a song by Jay Z or Kenya West,he'd be able to sing the entire song for you!or in other cases,he'd recognise and learnt all about that particular favourite celebrity of his but couldnt be bothered about the prophet's life.Nevertheless,i havent even memorize the Quran yet but still, let us all try to improve ourselves.

Oh and another catastrophe is currently happening in Terengganu (or was it Kelantan).Which is the Muslims there are EXTREMELY religious to the max that they are only working their way towards life after death (akhirat). As a result of this, they refuse to develop themselves causing the malays dignity to tumble.Sigh.It's a good thing in a bad way though.Life is so complex isnt it?

  2. Well, in certain thinking, yes, its correct.
But, i don't agree with other races shifting to other Country. Its not going to solve the problem, but it will make it worst. Let me give u some example k. What will happen if Barisan Nasional didn't have supporters from other races ? Are they gonna win the election ? That's why, some cases not going to solve in a way of "deleting". Hence, having other races is good, to make our "Malay People" wake up and realize that they have been left behind. Don't think inside a box, think outside the box so we know how/when/where/why a problem occure.

Okay, back to the story, its not because of Clubbing that make the youth doesn't memorize the Quran or becoming a criminal, its because how they have been taught by their parents. Like me(haha), i have been in a school where i need to memorize the Quran and learn about Fiqh, and Akidah. But i only managed to memorized only 1 juzud(sad to hear that huh ? :P). Yes, i do clubbing with my friend sometime. So what u think about that ? I can read Quran and recite a couple Surah. U got my point babe ? Its not because of activities, its because what we've learn, which is education when we r small. When they grow up, they know how too think wisely in choosing their path. Because that time, all decision is in their hand. Family and friends only can advise. So here, parents should play their roles to become a good example to their children. One more, "melentur rotan, biarlah daripada rebungnya".

My opinion is, Government need to apply a rule where the Muslim don't have any right to buy/drinking alcohol. So, the result, healthy entertainment. Just my 2 cent Sonia Ayesha :)

  4. First and foremost,
It's only wise to get your facts right before making statements albeit this is your own space to vent your thoughts or ideas.

I agree with what Ammar above has mostly stated. The existence of places such as bars and night clubs are not the direct source of deteoration in Malaysian's 'morals and dignity'. And it is highly unlikely that being present in these places would somehow urge you to do wrong. I myself, a Muslim, attend events at local pubs/bars/clubs as a more of a social gathering rather. I retain myself from touching the drink, and my fellow friends respect that I am a practising Muslim.

Yes, I agree that most of the Muslim Malays in our country have slowly neglected the teachings of Islam. But it is not solely these places that are to be blamed. It goes long back to the media, and the lifestyle that Westerners portray to us and in Asian countries. We have lost our identity within ourselves. We dress alike, and save our traditional attires only for special occasions. We all fall under the same category. We idolize the Western lifestyle too much.

It's good to listen to conferences, and contemplate on what they say. But they're not always giving you a full story. They're just giving you their thoughts. What they believe in, which aren't necessary true.

And in what you say about Malaysia being a Muslim country, you contradict yourself in many ways than one. Islam practices equality, and where does it say in the Quran that we Malays are placed on a higher hierarchy than any other? We are a contradtiction on our own. Malay rights is bullshit. Respect is important. Even the teachings of our religion does not make us force people to convert. We encourage and live in peace. I could go on for days, but I am hoping you got the point already.
